On the 15th of September the Minister for Multicultural Affairs announced that SMECC was successful in its application for a Kitchen and Air-Conditioner upgrade. SMECC will receive $100,000 towards a new Commercial grade Kitchen to be installed onsite. The Kitchen will eventually benefit SMECC members and clients by providing a quality facility for cooking activities. Additionally, the funds will also contribute towards an Air-conditioner upgrade to the SMECC community buildings in Twelfth Street. We look forward to these two new additions to the SMECC Community Centre.
